Australian siblings the Germein Sisters are a refreshingly honest young female band, who’s unique brand of pop/folk has lead them to a breadth of experience and credits that defy their years. Having already completed one international tour and received rave reviews on the national and international stage, their catchy melodies with a message are leaving listeners across the globe spell bound. Based on a bushland property in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia; talented multi-instrumentalists Georgia, Ella and Clara Germein will present a whirlwind tour around Australia in September this year before jetting off to Germany, London and Ireland as they launch their highly anticipated debut band album “Because You Breathe”. Recorded in Dublin with producer Billy Farrell (The Corrs, Brian Kennedy et al), and assisted by Jealoustown Studios Stuart Gray (Sinead OConnor), this album indeed showcases their depth of talent. Lowdown National Music Magazine Irish sensation Brian Kennedy (The Voice, Eurovision) heard “Because You Breathe” when he was in the studio in Dublin with Billy Farrell earlier this year, and was blown away and didn’t hesitate in inviting the Germein Sisters to perform with him on his upcoming Australian Tour in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The girls are currently Artist Associate’s with World Vision Australia, with Georgia Germein having volunteered in the Kalahari Desert South Africa, Nepal, & Malaysia. Georgia is also a Youth Advocate for the Red Cross and Nature Foundation SA, and a carer for orphaned kangaroo joeys through Fauna Rescue SA. Georgia’s songwriting awards include seven ASME Young Composers Awards, semi finalist in the International Song-writing Competition, and finalist in the Australian Song-writing Competition.
