My name is Taylor Lee. I am a female rock musician from the Bay Area, California. Since I can remember I have been living, breathing and seeing music as something other than just sound, but more as a way of life. As a young girl I was influenced by some of my mothers favorite bands such as Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. She showed me what good, true music sounds like and what it means to posses the same passion as some of these epic artists. I play guitar and write my own music. I was in the band 3Prayers (an all girl band) for 10 years and made 3 CD's with them. We were in the September 2001 issue of Seventeen magazine and won such awards as California Emerging artist. I just finished my first solo album produced by Tone, recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkley and Studio 880 in Oakland, CA. I have worked with artists, coaches and producers such as drummer Michael Urbano from Smash Mouth, Guitarist Dave Immergluck of the Counting Crows, Bassist Blyss, singer-songwriter Nia Jade, producer and songwriter Tone, and vocal coach Raz Kennedy. My songs consist of actual events, feelings or emotions that have taken place in my life. I write about love and all it entails, broken friendships, my family, alcoholism, being a girl in the entertainment business, what its like to grow up, happiness, feeling lost and much, much more. I have a deep respect for the arts and believe it's what drives us to the edge of thought. The best way to describe my music is straight up Rock. Listen with an open mind and an open heart.
