Louise has been touring, recording and collaborating since the age of 16. From her roots in a successful London teen rock band and a 27 piece jazz ensemble, she has gone on to develop an acoustic singer songwriter career, to front LA’s successful electronic outfit, The Flir, and to work on a range of collaborations all over the world with producers like Don Smith (Rolling Stones, U2, Tom Petty, Ry Cooder, The Tragically Hip, John Mellenchamp, etc) and Jeff Rona (Traffic, Black Hawk Down, Thin Red Line, Steven King’s Deadzone, Exit Wounds, White Squall, etc). Most recently she can be heard on the Sharkwater soundtrack alongside artists such as Portishead, Moby, and Aphex Twin.
Clasically trained since the age of 11, Louise released her debut solo CD, Ghost Town, in 2007. Produced by Rich Avrach, Ghost Town presents a range of moving vocals, melancholy melodies, pretty harmonies, guitars, cello, piano, drums, percussion and a whole range of eclectic acoustic arrangements. Her unique vocal style has been compared to artists ranging from Sarah McLachlan and Enya to Imogen Heap and Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins).
Louise is also lead singer for electronic dream pop outfit The Flir, a successful LA band who have been played on KCRW (see www.theflir.com).
Louise is attracting growing attention with reviews like:‘(On ‘Wake Up’) A cleverly written song, composed with care and played to perfection. This artist’s voice and style are nearly incomparable, and I’m not joking when I tell you she’s one of the best singers in the WORLD!’ (BeSonic).
Originally from London, Louise is currently living, touring and recording in Los Angeles.
