16 year old Jaclyn has been wowing audiences for years. Her mature and powerful voice has allowed her the privilege to perform with some of the world’s best musicians, producers and songwriters. She has been consistently breaking barriers in the Canadian and US music industries and is currently developing for opportunities into the US and international markets. Her strong songwriting abilities continue to define her as a true artist. Her musical instincts and natural ability to engage audiences and deliver flawless live vocals have captured the attention of many. Jaclyn was the youngest performer ever at 12 years old in the prestigious "Honey Jam" showcase in Toronto, which has launched the careers of Nelly Furtado and Jully Black. She also featured as a top finalist in the Jamilton Band Showcase. She has performed with a live band since the age of 11. Jaclyn is working regularly with top artists, musicians, choreographers, producers and industry executives as she pursues her dream of bringing her music to the world. Her current focus is on developing her songwriting, co-writing and recording with the best in the business and creating her live show with her band and production team. Jaclyn is currently trained by the worlds best vocal coach, Mama Jan Smith in Atlanta who also works with Justin Bieber, Usher and Drake to name a few of her clients. Mama Jan is developing Jaclyn as an Artist under her company Plumbline Music Group in Atlanta. Jaclyn has been extensively interviewed and been touted as the "next pop sensation" by Canada’s Exclaim magazine. She was featured on the front page of Canadas largest news paper the Toronto Star as their top pick for an Artist to watch for 2012. Other interviews and features include her showcases, Verve Girl magazine, Master T (much music VJ) Sarah Taylor (Much Music) and featured in numerous newspapers including The Hamilton Spectator, Toronto Metro, and Metroland media articles. Jaclyn enjoys musical theatre and acting; her recent credits include being one of the youngest Divas in Divas 2 on Broadway and she played the lead role of Gabriella in a sold out production of High School Musical. Jaclyn considers herself a pop/rock/r&b/soul singer and has been formally trained since the age of 9. When she is not performing, Jaclyn can often be found sitting behind her piano writing songs and choreographing her next moves.
