If the clone of Lady GaGa and Mariah Carey were to crash the Warped Tour during a One Republic tribute to Michael Jackson, it might be close to the vibe you’d get when Tora Woloshin takes the stage. Tora grew up in Tucson and began her singing career at age 6. She graduated to group and solo performances with the Tucson non-profit, Kids Unlimited. She spent most of her childhood with Kids Unlimited, performing around the state and received instruction in dance, vocals, acting and musical theater. As a teenager writing and performing her own music, Tora fronted three of Tucson’s most recognized Indie rock bands, including Less Than Famous, before moving on to focus on a career as a solo artist. She became interested in singing competitions and won $25,000 and the judges hearts in Lucky Break, a televised contest. Fans saw Tora on the inaugural season of Fox Televisions hit reality show, The X Factor USA. She opened the season by wowing all 4 judges with her rousing rendition of the Jackson 5 timeless classic, “I Want You Back.” She was one of the top 32 contestants put through to the “Judges Homes” round where she continued to fine tune her skills and was mentored by Simon Cowell who called Tora a “little rock star.” “It was an honor to be among the 8 best girls for the competition and now I’m looking forward to getting on with my own music”, Tora says. Following X Factor, Tora signed with Fli Life Music out of New York and Miami, who released Toras first single, "Guns & Roses," in June of 2012. The song was produced by the dynamic Los Angeles based duo, The Fliptones. Tora ended her contract with Fli Life in 2013 and is writing and producing new music and seeking collaborations and opportunities with anyone who shares her musical vision.
