Randa is a Canadian jazz singer who immersed herself in this genre at an early age. Born in Lebanon, where she is considered to be the first Lebanese Jazz singer, she is today the result of a real multicultural background. Before settling, twenty years ago in Montreal, she grew up between Beirut, Africa, France and the United Kingdom. Her vocation for music has dwelled deep even though she studied French literature, obtained a B.A. in Corporate communications and worked as a journalist while still attending in parallel singing and acting workshops.
Her career, proper as a singer, sprang off during her last journey in Miami in 2002 where she recorded her first Jazz album: 揚illow Talk�. In 2006, she launched her second album "I Belong", recorded in Amsterdam, the latter offered a mix between jazz and world music. Ever since she has been touring in many places all over the planet. In September 2011, she will release her latest album "Moon Breeze" recorded in Montreal with the collaboration of world acclaimed jazz pianist Cyrus Chestnut, bassist Michel Donato and drummer Jim Hillman. Randa sings in four languages that she possesses fluently (english, french, arabic and spanish).
Randa was listed in the World Whos Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment 2007, 2009 and 2010 editions. She also appeared on the cover of Volume II of the World Whos Who.
Through her singing itinerary she met great musicians such as: Cyrus Chestnut, Michel Donato, Jesse Jones Jr., Charlie Biddle, Arturo Sandoval, Freddy Cole, Ingram Washington, Asere (Cuban band), Chuck Mangione, Zeb Billings, Jimmy Dale, Jack Gregg, Cajan Witmer, Ziad Rahbani, Axel Fish and Steve Philips.
