The two brothers were born in Rocca di Papa (Italy), Guido in 1944 and Maurizio in 1947. They began their career playing the guitar, then Maurizio graduated in composition and harmony, while Guido studied flute. So music became their profession: they toured Italy with a group called Black Stones, which was later called G & M. After 1967 they played in orchestras, recording soundtracks for famous soundtrack composers such as Ennio Morricone, Riz Ortolani, Armando Trovaioli and many others. They also made many arrangements for famous Italian singers. In 1970 they met the Italian actor Nino Manfredi, for whom they arranged the famous song Tanto pè cantà; so came their first soundtrack, for Nino Manfredi's film Per Grazia Ricevuta, a great success. We also remind Zorro, Savana Violenta, Sandokan and Il Corsaro Nero.
